Take the Smart ForTwo car and paint it bright orange and black. Restrict production to 235 vehicles and add extras like leather seats and you get the 'NightOrange'. This popular limited edition car is reportedly already sold out, with only a handful of ex-demo models available through Smart dealers.
The seating position is relatively high considering how boxy the vehicle feels. In short, this car isn't for everyone. The vibrant contrasted orange-black combination gives this little car an edgy feel. Inside, the car offers suprisingly good visibility and plenty of leg room, even with two people. Although the vehicle stretches at no more than 2.7 metres, a decent amount of storage can be found in the tiny boot, behind and under the seats and inside the doors. The seats can be moved forwards, however you can't adjust them in height. The same goes for the steering wheel, for which the fixed position can be an issue for tall drivers. At just under £10,000, this is Smart's cheapest limited edition car so far. Not cheap per se but fair value compared to other cars in its class like the Toyota IQ.
Inside, you also get an extra clock and rev counter above the dasboard, velour floor mats and an automated manual gearbox. This means you can drive the car in full or semi auto mode. Optional extras include heating for the seats and a 6.5-inch touch-screen satellite navigation system that comes with the highline audio system. The driving experience is pleasant, particularly at low speeds, making this car well suited to urban driving - as you would expect for a car in this class. The 1.0-litre Mitsubishi engine generates 71bhp, with a top speed of 90mph. It is capable of going from 0-62mph in 13.7 seconds. Smart have also included what they call Micro Hybrid Drive (MHD). Put simply, this is a stop/start system that cuts the engine if speed falls below 5mph under breaking. Most people may prefer to simply switch this facility off as the engine can tend to switch off too often when the driver doesn't expect it. All in all, the car is fun to drive and like other Smarts offers great cornering. This makes this an enjoyable ride with decent speccing in this price range. Of course, the vibrant colours and styling will also ensure you'll get plenty of attention, if that's your sort of thing. What do you think of the Smart ForTwo NightOrange? Like it, hate it? ... Actually I kinda like it! I wouldn't take it on the motorway but this is great for day to day supermarket shopping and going to work. I live in London and parking is a nightmare. I like the orange/black combo it's pretty cool!

It's an orange box with wheels. My friend has a Smart and I didn't feel safe in it, can't imagine what would happen if you had a head-on accident... Fine it's good for parking but I can't imagine I could fit my weekly family shopping in this car. I'd rather get a Clio or for a bit more get a Mini it's more stylish IMO.

From the beginning the Smart ForTwo appealed to a small subset of the public (no pun intended). With 2 seats and a tiny boot, this rear-engineered city car offers road tax exemption and is small enough to fit into most roadside gaps normally accessible only to motorbikes and scooters.
The ForTwo NightOrange comes with leather seats, steering wheel and gear knob, orange and black cloth styling on the seats and dashboard and gloss black alloy wheels.
